Optical Illusions, 117 Billion Humans, and Square Poop

I find it fascinating (and important to remember) that everything we see is perceived by our brain and then translated into an image. For example…the white on the outside of these “petals” is exactly the same as the white inside (Asahi Illusion)

Wombats have square poop! They are able to do this because of variable elasticity in the wall of their rectum (Be honest – you wondered, right?). This evolved because it is an important way for wombats to “communicate” (i.e. mark their territory) and square poop doesn’t roll off ledges.

The potential for commentary and horrible puns with this information boggles my mind… have fun!
